What is micro-needling?
Micro-needling is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure in which a device makes prescribed depth and size micro-injuries to the skin, causing the body to respond to the injury. In the body’s naturally healing process, new layers of both collagen and elastin are form. Collagen and elastin are proteins in the skin that keep skin firm. As the proteins are reformed in your skin as a response to the micro-needling procedure, the skin tightens, eliminating fine lines and wrinkles. Micro-needling is an excellent treatment for fine lines, acne scaring, skin pigmentations, stretch marks, and can even help restore hair loss. For the most optimal results, we recommend combining micro-needling with with collagen and peptide serums, which are infused into the skin during the micro-needling procedure.
Benefits of micro-needling:
– Enhances texture of the skin
-Stimulates collagen production
-Reduces scars and hyperpigmentation
-Reduces the appearance of certain types of wrinkles
What is micro-tox?
Micro-tox (or Micro-botox) refers to the injection of multiple small doses into the skin. It is injected superficially and therefor only targets the skin, where oil production, facial flushing, and acne occur. It differs from conventional Botox treatment as it does not iron out wrinkles caused by muscle contractions. Botox injected in the top layers of the skin works to control oil and redness while making pores appear smaller, which could mean fewer breakouts. (But this botox will not stamp out deep wrinkles…
Combining micro-tox
Micro-tox can be combined with traditional use of toxins like Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport to treat both deep wrinkles caused by underlaying muscles, with micro-tox to improve the surface of the skin. Some clients who just were not getting the results with Botox alone, find that adding micro-tox or other micro-needling procedures can be the finishing touch to reach their aesthetic goals.
